Why Digital Bridges?

The purpose of this project is simple enough - but it has the potential to produce life-changing results, if we carry it through to completion.

We asked ourselves a simple question: what could one teacher and a small team of students do to bridge the digital divide?

What is the Digital Divide?

When we talk about the digital divide we compare two very different groups of people:

Technology Haves

Have access to:

• educational opportunities
• up to date and accurate information
• networks of people

through new technologies

Technology Have-nots

Cannot:

• broaden their educational horizons
• find up to date and accurate information
• get access to wider networks of people
